Transfer of Engagement Update September 2026

Dear Member,

We are pleased to provide you with an update on the Transfer of Engagement project involving TUI Credit Union, Comhar Linn INTO Credit Union and Education Credit Union.

A significant milestone was achieved when members of both Comhar Linn INTO Credit Union and Education Credit Union voted in favour of the proposed Transfer of Engagement at their respective Special General Meetings held on Wednesday, 26 August 2026. This strong endorsement reflects the confidence of members in the vision of creating a stronger, unified credit union to serve the wider education community.

Following these approvals, the operational migration of Education Credit Union into Comhar Linn INTO Credit Union took place on Thursday, 17^th September 2026. This represents the completion of a major phase of the project and will result in the formation of a larger combined credit union, which is scheduled to open its doors to members on Monday, 21 September 2026.

Once this migration has been successfully completed, attention will turn to Phase 2 of the project, which involves the proposed Transfer of Engagement of TUI Credit Union into the enlarged Comhar Linn entity. This next phase is an important step in the vision of bringing together the three teacher credit unions to create one stronger credit union for the education sector across Ireland.

TUI Credit Union members will have the opportunity to consider and vote on this proposal at the Credit Union's Annual General Meeting, which is expected to take place towards the end of January 2027. The decision will rest with our members, and we remain committed to ensuring that members receive clear, comprehensive information in advance of any vote.

Further updates will be provided as the project progresses. Our Section 130 Information Pack, which will outline the proposal in detail, together with supporting information to assist members in making an informed decision, will issue in due course.
