We wish to advise members of a temporary issue affecting outgoing SEPA Instant payments today, 20 October 2026.

The issue follows payment delays reported by Revolut and is affecting the wider payments network, including credit unions. Some SEPA Instant payments have been remaining in a pending status rather than completing within the expected time frame

As a precaution, the outgoing SEPA Instant payment service has been temporarily suspended while the issue is investigated.

Members can continue to make outgoing SEPA payments as normal. However, during this temporary suspension, payments will be processed as standard SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT Classic) payments rather than as SEPA Instant payments.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The matter is being investigated and the SEPA Instant service will remain temporarily suspended pending further updates.
