Coming soon: your new Visa Debit card with TUICU

What you need to know as a Current Account Visa Debit Card Member✍️

At TUICU, we are always looking for ways to enhance
your everyday banking experience.

We’re pleased to let you know that we are moving our current account debit cards from Mastercard to Visa. As part of this change, all current account members will receive a new Visa Debit card in the coming weeks.

What this means for you

Your new Visa Debit card brings a range of trusted benefits, along with improved usability and accessibility:

✅Accepted worldwide – Visa Debit can be used at millions of locations globally, making payments simple wherever you are

✅A clearer, modern design – Your card details are now printed (rather than embossed) and all located on the back for easier reading

✅Designed for everyday use – The new portrait layout reflects how you naturally use your card in ATMs and payment terminals

✅Accessibility features – A small notch on the card helps those who are visually impaired insert it correctly

✅Extra online security – Visa Secure adds an additional layer of protection when shopping online

✅Digital wallet ready – Use your card with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Google Wallet for convenient, contactless payments

What do you need to do as a Current Account Member?

There’s nothing you need to do right now.

Your new Visa Debit card will arrive by post in a secure card mailer. Your existing Mastercard will continue to work as normal until you activate your new card.

Once you receive and activate your new card, you may need to update your card details with any services you pay for regularly using your debit card.
This includes things like subscriptions, e-tolls, or some utility providers (for example, bin collections or TV services). These payments won’t automatically transfer to your new card.
