Overdraft

An overdraft can be there for you when you need it!
You can apply for an overdraft on your Current Account, €200 up to a maximum of €5,000.

- An overdraft is a short-term way to borrow money on your current account and can help in months where things get a little tight e.g. if you receive a higher than expected bill and need a bit longer to repay it.
- You can apply for an overdraft on your Current Account from €200.00 up to a maximum of €5,000.00.
- The interest rate is 12% pa variable. Interest is only charged on overdrawn balances. Your credit union does not currently apply surcharge interest (surcharge interest is charged by some Financial Institutions on unauthorised overdrawn balances.
- An overdraft fee of €25.00 is charged on approval and on each anniversary of the overdraft approval date.
- Overdrafts are subject to financial status and are not available to persons under 18 years of age.

Under the Credit Reporting Act 2013, lenders are required to provide personal and credit information for credit applications and credit
agreements of €500 and above to the Central Credit Register. Information will be held on the Central Credit Register and may be used by other
lenders when making decisions on credit applications.

Credit facilities are subject to repayment capacity and financial status and are not available to persons under 18 years of age. Security may be required. An overdraft facility fee of €25 per annum or per overdraft sanction, whichever is the more frequent will be applied.
- Maximum Overdraft limit €5,000
- Your account must remain in credit for a minimum of 30 days over the 12 months for the Overdraft facility to be renewed
Overdraft Requirements
- A personal current account in your sole name (we recommend that your salary is paid into your TUI credit union current account)
- Proof Income (recent payslip)
- Up to date I.D. and proof of address must be held on file

Lending criteria, terms and conditions apply. Loans are available to members over the age of 18, and are subject to repayment capacity and financial status. Proof of income and a credit reference agency search will be required to help us assess all loan applications.
