Important Update - Deposit Accounts
TUI Credit Union wishes to inform members that, due to the continued growth and success of the Credit Union, we have now reached the current capacity for new Deposit Accounts.
As a result, from 1 October 2026, TUI Credit Union will no longer accept applications for new Deposit Accounts.
This decision reflects the strong support of our members and the significant growth in savings entrusted to the Credit Union in recent years. While we are delighted by this success, it is important that we continue to manage our savings levels prudently and in the best interests of all members.
32-Day Notice Account
On the 30th of September 2026, interest will be applied to these accounts. Once the final interest is applied, the funds will be transferred to the share account and the 32-Day notice account will be closed. No further lodgements will be accepted to this account type.
1-Year Fixed Term
No new application accepted from 01/10/26. Current active accounts remain to maturity
3-Year Fixed Term
No new application accepted from 01/10/26. Current active accounts remain to maturity
5-Year Fixed Term
No new application accepted from 01/10/26. Current active accounts remain to maturity
What does this mean for existing members?
- Existing Deposit Accounts will remain unaffected and will continue to operate as normal.
- Members can continue to make lodgements to their existing Share Accounts, subject to the Credit Union's savings limits.
- No new Deposit Account applications will be accepted from 1 October 2026.
We appreciate that this may be disappointing for members who were considering opening a Deposit Account and thank you for your understanding.
The Board and management team will continue to keep this decision under review. Should circumstances allow for Deposit Accounts to be reopened in the future, members will be informed through our website and member communications.
We remain committed to providing competitive savings and lending services and thank all members for their continued support and loyalty.
